Easter and the Signs of Spring

I haven't updated this blog in a while. I was going to post a glorious set of pictures from my trip to Arizona. Pictures mostly taken on our last day, the day after our conference. We were going to Sedona for a day of walking, taking a jeep into the desert, and shopping. We had some lovely breakfasts and a dinner al fresco under the palms but spend most of the conference days in a huge windowless hall with about 800 other people. On Saturday morning, chomping at the bit to go, we were informed that 9 inches of snow was going to hit Columbus, Ohio and more than likely all flights (including ours) through there would be canceled that day and for days to come. Our best option was flying Saturday over Nashville or we would get stuck in Arizona (yippee!!! The Superintendent did not think it was a Yippee!!! idea). Instead we got stuck in Nashville but only for about 5 hours. Anyway, here is one of the five pictures I took in front of the motel!!

I actually also went swimming one evening while everyone else went out to a Mexican dinner. It was lovely!

About Glenn
I have heard that there are requests out there to see an updated picture of Glenn. Especially to see if he has gained some weight back. Well here he is with Mike on Easter Sunday ready to go to an early dinner!

Glenn is actually eating normally now and has gained about 10 pounds back, still about 30 to go!!!! I would have that problem:)
Thank heavens Easter came and brought Spring along. The first signs I saw a week or so ago were the little Snowbells popping out followed by little tufts of crocuses in a number of places around the yard.
When I went out to play with Holly on Easter Sunday, I discovered that my Daffodils have suddenly shot up!
Peonies and Sedum are trying to feel the temperature...
and the Forsythia will bloom in less than a week!

I can't wait to see if my frogs made it through the winter.
