A beautiful day at Lehigh Gorge State Park

Today Glenn and I decided to add some more waterfalls to our current list.
Many of the leaves have already dropped but some are hanging on in beautiful hues of red, yellow and orange.
We were hiking part of the 26-mile long  bike trail that runs through Lehigh Gorge State and Hickory Run State Park.
It was a lovely, sunny and cool day.

We saw many birds but no critters other than this little snake quickly scooting off the path where it had been soaking up the sun.

We saw four or five waterfalls but their flow was limited. Lack of rain has brought great torrents down to little more than a trickle in some places.
Holly always likes to stand on the edge so Mommy can have an anxiety attack.
This what a bright clear day along the Lehigh River looks like.

Fall in Oma's garden

My fall garden

Last time we visited my garden, Holly was watching the frog and she is still persevering. Mr. Frog is unfazed by now. I also like you to see my flowers, begonias, roses, dahlias, marguerites, and sweet William. Today it was still 70 degrees Fahrenheit and a great day for Holly to sit in the grass and see if a squirrel will be easier to catch than a frog!
